Your Thrive Mobile phone uses a Google (Gmail) account to download apps and back up your photos and contacts. Some members set this up during onboarding; others create their own.
Create a Gmail account
- Open Settings → Accounts → Add account → Google, or go to accounts.google.com.
- Follow the steps to pick an email address and password.
- Keep your password somewhere safe.
Reset your Gmail password
- Go to accounts.google.com and choose Forgot password.
- Follow the steps to verify it's you and set a new password.
Why you might see a "work" label
Some Thrive phones are set up with a separate space for the apps your health plan provides. If you see a work label in the Gmail app or a briefcase icon, that's this space — it's normal, and it's only used for program-related apps and updates.
The pre-set email on your phone
If your phone came with an email address already on it, that address is used only to send program-related app updates to your phone. Thrive does not read your personal email or watch your day-to-day web and app use. For more on how we handle your information, see Your privacy with Thrive Mobile.
