When you might need this
How reactivation works
In most cases we can reactivate your service in under 5 minutes, and you keep your existing phone and SIM card.
If reactivation requires a fresh SIM, we'll ship you a new physical SIM at no charge. Your phone number stays the same.
What to expect
If your service was Lifeline
We'll send you a "Come Back to Thrive Mobile" email from help@thrivemobile.com. Click the button in the email and follow the prompts. The whole flow takes about 5 minutes and uses your existing phone.
If your Lifeline benefit was applied to another carrier, that carrier will lose the benefit once Thrive picks it back up — they may text or call you about the change.
If you were on a paid (Unlimited) plan
We can usually reconnect you on the spot if your account was inactive less than 45 days. We'll just ask you to verify your identity. If we can't reconnect directly, we'll send you a reactivation link.
If you've been gone more than 45 days
Reactivation still works, but you'll likely need a fresh SIM card. We'll mail one to you (free, 3–5 business days). You may also need to re-apply for Lifeline if you want to keep the free Essential plan.

Common questions
Will I keep my phone number?
Yes. Your number stays the same through reactivation.
Will I have to apply for Lifeline again?
Usually no — we use a "Winback" flow that keeps your Lifeline benefit attached. In a few cases (if you've been gone a long time, or your eligibility lapsed) you may need to reapply. See Apply for Lifeline through the National Verifier if so.
Will I get a new phone?
Not automatically. If your phone still works, you'll keep it. If you need a new one, see If your phone is lost, stolen, or damaged.
I never enrolled — can I still use reactivation?
No. Reactivation is for members whose service was previously active. If you've never completed enrollment, start at enroll.thrivemobile.com.
