You apply for the federal Lifeline benefit through the National Verifier, the system run by USAC. Here's how to check your status and what to do if your application is pending or denied.
Check your status
Go to checklifeline.org and sign in to see where your application stands.
If your application is pending
Some applications need extra proof before they're approved — for example, proof that you take part in a qualifying program, or proof of income.
If your application was denied
Your denial notice from USAC explains the reason and what you can do next.
Still stuck?
If you believe you qualify but keep getting denied, see If you're found not eligible, or contact us and we'll help you find the next step.
